As demonstrated in the industrial history of the last few years, the problems and challenges may well be transformed into real opportunities.
However, if we consider things from another point of view, the perspectives outlined above tend to fog. Globalization continues to maintain its grip on much of the world market. The environment continues to deteriorate at an alarming rate. Many countries, which lack of political leadership at the height of their problems, continue to struggle in the spiral of instability.
Nevertheless, in the context of contemporary marketing a good number of opportunities have often opened up for international growth because of factors that have allowed companies to carve a niche in the market.
Contemporary marketing facilitates entries and long lasting achievements of market shares, even in remote areas. The most challenging part of the production facility requires direct presence abroad, sometimes essential for the conquest of markets, but not always necessary. Those companies, which are still able to manufacture locally and yet keenly carry on with export activities must also know how to overcome barriers, sometimes invisible, of access to the market itself.
